Anton Tkáč is a retired track cyclist from Slovakia, who claimed the gold medal for Czechoslovakia in the men's Match Sprint event at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Quebec, Canada when in the final he defeated eight time World Champion Frenchman Daniel Morelon. In this discipline he also won two World Champion titles: in 1974 in Montreal, and in 1978 in Munich, Germany.

Mari Kim Holden is an American former cycle racer, who won the world time trial championship in 2000 after winning a silver medal in the Olympic Games time trial in Sydney, Australia. She also won six U.S. championships, becoming the first American woman to win three consecutive U.S. time trial championships (1998–2000) and scoring a double by winning the U.S. time trial and road championships in 1999. She now works as a directeur sportif for UCI Women's Team Twenty20 Pro Cycling.

Haldor Lægreid is a Norwegian musical artist. He is most recognized as the performer of the power ballad "On My Own", Norway's entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 2001 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Haldor finished last, only obtaining three points from Portugal. "On My Own" reached number five on the Norway Singles Chart.
