His work Veduggio Glimpse, on loan from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, is currently on display as part of Landmarks, the public art program of The University of Texas at Austin.

Sultan-Ahmed Magomedsalihovich Ibragimov is a retired Russian professional boxer of Dagestani descent who competed from 2002 to 2008, and held the WBO world heavyweight title from 2007 to 2008. He was ranked by BoxRec as the world's top 10 heavyweight from 2005 to 2008, reaching his highest ranking of world No.5 in 2007. As an amateur he won silver medals at the 2000 Olympics and 2000 European Championships, and bronze at the 2001 World Championships, all in the heavyweight division.

Melvin Lax was a distinguished Professor of Physics at City College of New York and was elected a member of the National Academy of Sciences in 1983, and notable for his contributions to research of random processes in physics. He was the chairman of the Theoretical Physics Department at Bell Labs from 1962 to 1964. He was also a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the American Physical Society, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the Optical Society of America.
