Levent Açıkgöz is a retired Turkish footballer and football manager. Levent is best known for his association with Kardemir Karabükspor where he played with in the Süper Lig and TFF First League, and also begun his professional managerial career.

Mordecai Wyatt Johnson was an American educator and pastor. He served as the first African-American president of Howard University, from 1926 until 1960. Johnson has been considered one of the three leading African-American preachers of the early 20th-century, along with Vernon Johns and Howard Thurman.

Auguste Félix Fauchon was a French food merchant who was born in Ellon in 1856 and died in Courbevoie in 1939. He was the founder of the Fauchon gourmet food brand.

Charles Thone was an American Republican politician. He was the 34th Governor of Nebraska, serving from 1979 to 1983. He previously served as a member of the United States House of Representatives, representing Nebraska's 1st congressional district, from 1971 to 1979.

Michael France was an American screenwriter. He is best remembered for writing the screenplays for Cliffhanger (1993), the James Bond film GoldenEye (1995), and the comic book films Hulk (2003), The Punisher (2004), and Fantastic Four (2005).

Enyu Valchev Dimov was a lightweight freestyle wrestler from Bulgaria. He competed at the 1960, 1964 and 1968 Olympics and won a bronze, gold and silver medal, respectively. At the World championships, he won gold in 1962, silvers in 1959 and 1969 and bronze in 1967, while finishing fourth in 1965, fifth in 1966 and sixth in 1963. At the European Championships Valchev won gold medals in 1968 and 1969 and a bronze in 1967. In 1962 Valchev was selected as Bulgarian Sportsperson of the Year.
