Julien Maitron was a French professional road bicycle racer, who competed in the 1904 to 1912 Tours de France. He won one stage in the 1910 Tour de France, and had his best overall position in the 1904 Tour de France when he finished fifth.

Johann Friedrich Flatt was a German Protestant theologian and philosopher born in Tübingen. His brother, Karl Christian Flatt (1772–1813), was also a theologian.

Mary Garden was a Scottish operatic soprano with a substantial career in France and America in the first third of the 20th century. She spent the latter part of her childhood and youth in the United States and eventually became an American citizen, although she lived in France for many years and eventually retired to Scotland, where she died.

Tochinishiki Kiyotaka was a Japanese professional sumo wrestler from Tokyo. He was the sport's 44th yokozuna. He won ten top division yūshō or tournament championships and was a rival of fellow yokozuna Wakanohana I. He became the head coach of Kasugano stable in 1959 and was head of the Japan Sumo Association from 1974 until 1988.
