Francis II was King of the Two Sicilies from 1859 to 1861. He was the last King of the Two Sicilies, as successive invasions by Giuseppe Garibaldi and Victor Emmanuel II of Sardinia ultimately brought an end to his rule, as part of Italian unification. After he was deposed, the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies and the Kingdom of Sardinia were merged into the newly formed Kingdom of Italy.

Michael Goldberg was an American abstract expressionist painter and teacher known for his gestural action paintings, abstractions and still-life paintings. A retrospective show, "Abstraction Over Time: The Paintings of Michael Goldberg", was shown at MOCA Jacksonville in Florida from 9/21/13 to 1/5/14. His work was seen in September 2007 in a solo exhibition at Knoedler & Company in New York City, as well as several exhibitions at Manny Silverman Gallery in Los Angeles. Additionally, a survey of Goldberg's work is exhibited at the University Art Museum at California State University, Long Beach since September 2010.

Peter Hauk is a German politician of the CDU party. He has been a member of the Landtag of Baden-Wuerttemberg since 1992. From 2005 until 2010 he was Minister for Nutrition and Rural Areas, and from 2010 until the election of Guido Wolf to faction leader in 2015, he was CDU group leader and leader of the opposition in the Baden-Württemberg state parliament. Since 12 May 2016 he is a member of the Cabinet Kretschmann II as Minister for Rural Affairs and Consumer Protection.

Sir Joseph-Philippe-René-Adolphe Caron, was a Canadian lawyer and politician. He is now best remembered as the Minister of Militia and Defence in the government of Sir John A. Macdonald and his role during the North-West Rebellion of 1885.
