Leonid Mykhaylovych Chernovetskyi is a former Mayor of Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, from 2006 until the summer of 2012. He was a successful businessman, founder and controlling stakeholder of the Pravex Group and Pravex Bank, one of the largest banks in Ukraine. Since the appointment by President Viktor Yanukovych of Oleksandr Popov as Head of Kyiv City State Administration on 16 November 2010, replacing Chernovetskyi, Chernovetskyi was deprived of any real decision-making role in Kyiv. He tendered his resignation on 1 June 2012.

Illia Volodymyrovych Kyva is a Ukrainian politician. He worked as an official and policeman before entering politics, heading the Poltava chapter of the Right Sector party before taking the Socialist Party of Ukraine under his control in 2017 and serving as its leader from 2017 to 2019.

Boris Khabalovich Shukhov is a retired Soviet cyclist. He was part of the Soviet team that finished in ninth place at the 1968 Summer Olympics and won a gold medal in the 100 km team time trial at the 1972 Summer Olympics. At the world championships, he won a gold medal in 1970 and a silver in 1973 in the same event. Individually, he won the Tour de Bretagne Cycliste in 1973.

Roald Hoffmann is a Polish-American theoretical chemist who won the 1981 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. He has also published plays and poetry. He is the Frank H. T. Rhodes Professor of Humane Letters, Emeritus, at Cornell University, in Ithaca, New York.

Eugene Hütz is a Ukrainian-born singer, composer, disc jockey and actor, most notable as the frontman of the Gypsy punk band Gogol Bordello.

Anatoly Pavlovich Artsebarsky is a former Soviet cosmonaut.
