Henri Dutilleux was a French composer active mainly in the second half of the 20th century. His small body of published work, which garnered international acclaim, followed in the tradition of Maurice Ravel, Claude Debussy, Albert Roussel and Olivier Messiaen, but in an idiosyncratic style.

Gilles Boeuf is a French biologist, who served as president of the National Museum of Natural History, France from February 2009 to August 2015. He was a professor at Pierre and Marie Curie University. He was knighted with the French Order of Merit in 2009, and the Legion of Honour in 2013.

Joseph-Marie–Auguste Caillaux was a French politician of the Third Republic. He was a leader of the French Radical Party and Minister of Finance, but his progressive views in opposition to the military alienated him from conservative elements. He was accused of corruption, but was cleared by a parliamentary commission. This political weakness strengthened the right wing elements in the Radical Party.

Henri de Gondi, duc de Retz (1590–1659) was a French nobleman of the Gondi family. He was the son of Charles de Gondi, duc de Retz and Antoinette, lady of Château-Gontier. He became duc de Retz on his father's death in 1596. He married Jeanne de Beaupreau, and they had 2 daughters.

Paul Joseph Jean Poupard is a French prelate of the Catholic Church who has been a Cardinal since 1985. He held positions in the Roman Curia for more than 25 years, serving as President of the Pontifical Council for Culture from 1988 to 2007 and briefly as President of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue.
