Olga Sergeyevna Akopyan is a retired Russian handball player who last played for Lada Togliatti and the Russian national handball team. She won the world title in 2007 and 2009 and an Olympic gold medal in 2016, placing eighth in 2012.

David Skrela is a former French rugby union footballer. He most notably played for Stade Français and Toulouse in the Top 14 aswell as the French national side as a fly-half or centre. He was renowned for his tackles and his kicking skills.

Jean-Luc Castaneda is a former French footballer who played as a goalkeeper for France. Castaneda began his professional career with AS Saint-Etienne in 1975. He also played for the France national football team. He earned nine caps in 1981–82 and was part of the French squad for the 1982 FIFA World Cup. In 1989, he joined the Olympique Marseille and retired in 1990. Castaneda also coached FC Istres and US Marseille Endoume.

Burton Richter was an American physicist. He led the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC) team which co-discovered the J/ψ meson in 1974, alongside the Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) team led by Samuel Ting for which they won Nobel Prize for Physics in 1976. This discovery was part of the November Revolution of particle physics. He was the SLAC director from 1984 to 1999.

Owen Porter Churchill was an American sailor who competed in the 1932 Summer Olympics.

Knut Bohwim was a leading Norwegian film director. He co-founded the company Teamfilm A/S in 1962. His debut as film director was Operasjon Sjøsprøyt from 1964. He directed the war drama Det største spillet from 1967, about the double agent Gunvald Tomstad. He directed twelve films of the Olsenbanden series, the largest commercial success in Norwegian film history. Bohwim was awarded the Amanda Honorary Award in 1997, shared with Aud Schønemann.
