Carl Baxter
Harry Oliver
Harold "Pee-Wee" Oliver was a Canadian ice hockey forward who played for the Calgary Tigers of the Western Canada Hockey League (WCHL) and the Boston Bruins and New York Americans of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was a member of the Tigers' 1924 WCHL championship and won the Stanley Cup with the Bruins in 1929. Oliver played nearly 600 games in a professional career that spanned 16 seasons and scored 217 goals. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1967.
Gerald Drayson Adams
Gerald Drayson Adams was a former business executive and literary agent when he began writing for films in the 1940s. The Oxford University-educated Adams specialized in action/adventure and western films. His films include Dead Reckoning (1947) starring Humphrey Bogart, The Big Steal (1949), Armored Car Robbery (1950), His Kind of Woman, The Black Sleep (1956), and Kissin' Cousins (1964), starring Elvis Presley, for which he received a WGA award nomination. Adams also wrote for television series, including the pivotal episodes "Hostage" and "Stampede" for Maverick (1957).
Eric Gurney
Eric Gurney (1910–1992) was a Canadian-American cartoonist and illustrator. He immigrated to the US in 1938 to work with Walt Disney Productions, where he was a story writer and a collaborator on several Disney films. Turning freelance in 1948, he did cartoon illustrations for magazines and advertising campaigns. Gurney is well known for his humorous illustrations in books for children and adults. He received the National Cartoonists Society Advertising and Illustration Award for 1961 and 1971 for his work.

Remi De Roo is a Canadian retired Roman Catholic bishop. Ordained a priest on June 8, 1950, and consecrated a bishop on December 14, 1962, he was the Bishop of Victoria until he retired on March 18, 1999. He was born in Swan Lake. This makes him Canada’s longest-serving Catholic bishop. As bishop he was notable for his advocacy of social justice, and the mismanagement of diocesan finances.

Originally elected under the name Candice Hoeppner, Bergen has been Member of Parliament for Portage—Lisgar in Manitoba since 2008, winning reelection in 2011, 2015, and 2019. She was previously Minister of State for Social Development in the Harper Government and Opposition House Leader under Rona Ambrose and Andrew Scheer from 2016 until 2020.
