Arnon Yasha Yves Grunberg is a Dutch writer of novels, essays, and columns, as well as a journalist. He wrote some of his work under the heteronym Marek van der Jagt. He lives in New York.

René van der Gijp is a Dutch former professional footballer who played as a right winger for Sparta Rotterdam, Lokeren, PSV, Neuchâtel Xamax, Aarau and Heerenveen, as well as for the Netherlands national team. Since retiring from football in 1992, he has worked as a sports pundit and commentator.

John Gijsbert Alan Heitinga is a Dutch football coach and a former player who played as a centre back. He currently manages Jong Ajax the reserves team of AFC Ajax.

Pieter Timotheus "Tim" de Zeeuw is a Dutch astronomer specializing in the formation, structure and dynamics of galaxies. He was educated at Leiden, gaining a degree in mathematics in 1976 and one in astronomy in 1977. He graduated from Leiden with a PhD in astronomy in 1984. After stints in the US at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton and at Caltech, he returned to the Netherlands in 1990 to become professor of theoretical astronomy at Leiden. In 2003, he was appointed the scientific director of Leiden Observatory, and from 2007 to 2017 he was the director general of ESO. In 2009, he was awarded the Brouwer Award by the Division on Dynamical Astronomy of the American Astronomical Society. He is married to astronomer Ewine van Dishoeck. On 14 May 2018 at the annual Netherlands Astronomy Conference, he was awarded the Order of the Netherlands Lion.

Heddy Lester is a Dutch singer and actress, best known outside the Netherlands for her participation in the 1977 Eurovision Song Contest.

Jan Remco Theodoor Campert was a journalist, theater critic and writer who lived in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. During the German occupation of the Netherlands in World War II Campert was arrested for aiding the Jews. He was held in the Neuengamme concentration camp, where he died.
