List of Famous people born in Istanbul Province

Osvaldo Valenti was an Italian film actor. He appeared in 56 films between 1928 and 1945. He was born in Istanbul, Turkey to a Sicilian carpet trader and a wealthy Lebanese woman of Greek descent. He and his lover, Luisa Ferida, were executed by partisans in Milan, Italy, due to their links with Fascism. Their story was portrayed in the 2008 film Wild Blood.

Asaf Halet Çelebi was a Turkish mystical poet. Although not very widely known, due to his erudite and often foreign-influenced style, he is considered to be Turkey's first surrealist poet.

Özgenur Yurtdagülen, a.k.a. Özge Nur Yurtdagülen, is a Turkish female volleyball player. She is 192 cm (6.30 ft) tall at 73 kg (161 lb). Currently, she plays for Galatasaray in the middle blocker position. Yurtdagülen is a member of the Turkey women's national volleyball team.

Mahmut Ersin Kalaycıoğlu is a Turkish political scientist, professor of political sciences at Sabanci University and former president of Işık University, Istanbul (2004–2007). He is also a nephew of the well-known Turkish constitution professor, Tarık Zafer Tunaya.

Muhsin Ertuğral is a Turkish football coach.
