Jean Bourgoin (1913–1991) was a French cinematographer. He won the Academy Award for Best Cinematography for the 1962 war film The Longest Day.

Joseph Alexandre Pierre, vicomte de Ségur (1756–1805), was a French poet, songwriter, and playwright.

Louis Pierre Henriquel-Dupont was a French engraver. His students included Charles Bellay, Jean-Baptiste Danguin, Adrien Didier, Alphonse and Jules François, Adolphe-Joseph Huot, Achille and Jules Jaquet, Jules Gabriel Levasseur, Aristide Louis, Louis Marckl, Isidore-Joseph Rousseaux, Abel Mignon and Charles Albert Waltner.

Jean-Pierre Changeux is a French neuroscientist known for his research in several fields of biology, from the structure and function of proteins, to the early development of the nervous system up to cognitive functions. Although being famous in biological sciences for the MWC model, the identification and purification of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor and the theory of epigenesis by synapse selection are also notable scientific achievements. Changeux is known by the non-scientific public for his ideas regarding the connection between mind and physical brain. As put forth in his book, Conversations on Mind, Matter and Mathematics, Changeux strongly supports the view that the nervous system functions in a projective rather than reactive style and that interaction with the environment, rather than being instructive, results in the selection amongst a diversity of preexisting internal representations.

Joan Gardy Artigas is a Catalan ceramist, artist and (was) a close collaborator with Joan Miró.

Jean-Paul Bacquet is a member of the National Assembly of France and represents the Puy-de-Dôme department. He is a member of the Socialist Party and works in association with the SRC parliamentary group.

Laurence Plazenet is a French novelist. She was born in Paris and studied at the Ecole Normale Supérieure. A literature PhD, she taught at Sorbonne, and studied at Princeton. She has written three novels:
