Richard Farman (1872–1940) was a British-French aeronautical engineer, aviator, and eldest of the Farman brothers who were pioneers of early aviation. He was better known as Dick Farman using the then popular sobriquet in place of the formal Richard.

Jean Sauvagnargues was a French politician who served as Minister of Foreign Affairs under Valéry Giscard d'Estaing from 1974 to 1976 and was Ambassador to Ethiopia, Tunisia, West Germany, and the United Kingdom. Sauvagnargues died on 6 August 2002 in Lausanne, aged 87.
