Robert Surcouf
Robert Surcouf was a French privateer who operated in the Indian Ocean between 1789 and 1801, and again from 1807 to 1808, capturing over 40 prizes. He later amassed a large fortune as a ship-owner, from privateering, commerce, and illegal slave trade, and as a landowner.

Axel Kahn
Axel Kahn is a French scientist and geneticist. He is the brother of the journalist Jean-François Kahn. He was a member of the French National Consultative Ethics Committee from 1992 to 2004 and worked in gene therapy. He first entered the INSERM with a specialization in biochemistry. He was named in 2002 as a counsellor for biosciences and biotechnologies matters by the European Commission. Head of French laboratories specialized in biomedical sciences between years 1984 and 2007, he has been elected as the President of the Paris Descartes University in December 2007, where he was the sole candidate.
Séraphine Louis
Séraphine Louis, known as Séraphine de Senlis (1864–1942), was a French painter in the naïve style. Self-taught, she was inspired by her religious faith and by stained-glass church windows and other religious art. The intensity of her images, both in colour and replicative design, is sometimes interpreted as a reflection of her own psyche, walking a tightrope between ecstasy and mental illness.
Albert Uderzo
Alberto Aleandro Uderzo was a French comic book artist and scriptwriter. He is best known as the co-creator and illustrator of the Astérix series in collaboration with René Goscinny. He also drew other comics such as Oumpah-pah, again with Goscinny. Uderzo retired in September 2011.

Nicolas Pierre Armand Mahut is a French professional tennis player. In singles, he reached a career-high Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) ranking of world No. 37 on 5 May 2014. In doubles, he reached a career-high ATP ranking of world No. 1 on 6 June 2016. Mahut is well known for being skilled on grass, on which he has won the fourth-most titles amongst active players in singles behind Roger Federer (19), Andy Murray (8) and Novak Djokovic (5) and tying with Rafael Nadal (4); he also has the 2nd most singles titles on grass won over the age of 30 amongst active players, behind Federer (5). He is a distinguished doubles player, having completed the Career Grand Slam at the 2019 Australian Open, following victories at the 2015 US Open, 2016 Wimbledon Championships and 2018 French Open partnering Pierre-Hugues Herbert. Mahut was a part of the longest match in professional tennis history against John Isner in the first round of the 2010 Wimbledon Championships.
