Samira Makhmalbaf is an internationally acclaimed Iranian filmmaker and script writer. She is the daughter of Mohsen Makhmalbaf, the film director and writer. Samira Makhmalbaf is considered to be one of the most influential directors as part of the Iranian New Wave.

Masashi Asaki is a Japanese manga artist. He is best known as the artist for the series Psychometrer Eiji and Kunimitsu no Matsuri, both written by Shin Kibayashi under the name Ando Yuma, both of which have been adapted as live-action dramas. His current series, which he both writes and draws, is Denshi no Hoshi. All three series are unusual for shōnen manga in dealing with political themes. With Agi, he received the 2003 Kodansha Manga Award for shōnen for Kunimitsu no Matsuri.

Jacek Olgierd Kurski is a Polish politician and journalist, and the current chairman of the Polish public broadcaster TVP. He was previously a Member of the Sejm (2005–2009), Member of the European Parliament (2009–2014), and State Undersecretary for the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (2015–2016).

Gennady Alexeyevich Leonov was a Russian scientist, Correspondent Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor at the Saint Petersburg State University, Doctor of Sciences. Laureate of the 1986 USSR State Prize and 2012 Aleksandr Andronov Russian Academy of Sciences Prize.
