She was part of the cast for the telenovela Like and lived in Mexico from 2018 to 2019. As of 2020, she has returned to Japan to continue with her activities in AKB48.

He wrestles for Sadogatake stable. His highest rank has been maegashira 13. He is the son of former sekiwake Kotonowaka Terumasa and grandson of 53rd yokozuna Kotozakura Masakatsu. He originally began wrestling under the name Kotokamatani Masakatsu but adopted his father's shikona surname upon promotion to juryo in July 2019; he is expected to adopt his grandfather's shikona if ever promoted to ōzeki.
