Hamid Chabat has been the mayor of Fes since October 2003 and was elected on 23 September 2003 to lead his party, defeating rival Abdelouahed El Fassi, a relative of former incumbent Abbas El Fassi and grandson of Allal El Fassi. Before holding office, Chabat forged a name for himself in his party's trade union.

During the early part of her career, she wrote and illustrated under the pen name Mikan Momokuri . Her first public work was a dōjinshi called Innocent in 1993. Another series, First Love Limited, was adapted into a 12-episode anime television series and aired in 2009. Other works include Lilim Kiss, Akane-chan overdrive and Anedoki.

Anna Yuryevna Kikina is a Russian engineer and test cosmonaut, selected in 2012. In June 2020, fellow cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko said that Kikina is expected to fly on his fall 2022 mission to the International Space Station and perform a spacewalk during the mission.

Sakurai finished second (Silver) in the Absolute Class ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship in 1999 at just under 77 kg. During the height of his career in 2000 and 2001 he was considered to be one of the top pound for pound fighters in MMA. He is the former Shooto Middleweight Champion.

Jacques Demers is a former Canadian Senator, former broadcaster and former professional ice hockey head coach. After a lengthy coaching career in the World Hockey Association and in the National Hockey League, Demers became an analyst for Montreal Canadiens games on RDS. On August 27, 2009, he was nominated by Prime Minister Stephen Harper to fill the Canadian Senate seat vacated by Yoine Goldstein. Senator Demers represented the Conservative Party in the Senate until December 2015 when he resigned from the Conservative caucus in order to sit as an Independent. On his 75th birthday on August 25th, 2019 Senator Demers left his position as Senator.
