Franco Cassano was an Italian sociologist and politician. He was full professor of Sociology and Sociology of Cultural and Communicative Processes at the University of Bari Aldo Moro, alongside his academic activity that of essayist and columnist. Among his best-known works Il pensiero meridiano (1996) and L'umiltà del male (2011). In the 2013 political elections he was elected deputy of the XVII legislature of the Italian Republic in the XXI Puglia constituency for the Democratic Party.

Ioannes "Giannis" Spanos, also transliterated as Yannis Spanos, was a Greek music composer and lyricist. In his early days as a musician he was also a piano accompanist. Spanos won the music prize at the 1971 Thessaloniki Film Festival for composing the score of the film Ekeino to kalokairi.

Princess Fadia Farouk was born at the Abdeen Palace in Cairo, as the youngest daughter of the late King Farouk of Egypt and his first wife, the former Queen Farida. After her father was deposed during the Egyptian Revolution of 1952, the Princess lived in Italy for two years. She and her sisters were then sent to live in Switzerland, to attend boarding school. There, the Princess studied painting, became an accomplished equestrian and met her future husband.

Angelo Rizzoli (1943–2013) was an Italian film producer and publisher. He was son of Andrea Rizzoli, president of the RCS MediaGroup publishing house, and grandson of Angelo Rizzoli who founded the Italian publishing group Rizzoli Libri, later becoming RCS MediaGroup.
