Alice Babs was a Swedish singer and actress. She worked in a wide number of genres – Swedish folklore, Elizabethan songs and opera. While she was best known internationally as a jazz singer, Babs also competed as Sweden's first annual competition entrant in the Eurovision Song Contest 1958. In 1972 she was named Sweden's Royal Court Singer, the first non-opera singer as such.

Erik Hersholt Nielsen was a Canadian lawyer and politician. He served as the longtime Progressive Conservative Member of Parliament for Yukon, and was Leader of the Opposition and the third deputy prime minister. He was the elder brother of actor Leslie Nielsen.

Elisabeth Jacoba den Uyl-van Vessem was a Dutch activist, politician, and writer, involved with the PvdA, the Dutch social-democratic party. She was the wife of politician Joop den Uyl, and was socially and politically active. She wrote for magazines including Opzij, Vrij Nederland, Margriet, and for Het Parool.

Audouin Charles Dollfus was a French astronomer and aeronaut, specialist in studies of the Solar System and discoverer of Janus, a moon of Saturn.
