Armas Äikiä (1904–1965) was a Finnish communist writer and journalist. He wrote the Anthem of Karelo-Finnish SSR. A citizen of two countries, who had several collection of poems published in the Soviet Union. Back in Finland, when the Communist Party was banned, he spent years in prison and wrote defiant poems.

His Holiness Mar Thoma Darmo,, was the Catholicos-Patriarch of the Ancient Church of the East, from 1968 to 1969. Prior to that, he served as Metropolitan of India, from 1952 to 1964, within the Assyrian Church of the East.

Gino Bonichi, known as Scipione, was an Italian painter and writer.

Hasuda Zenmei was a Japanese nationalist, Shinto fundamentalist, and scholar of kokugaku as well as classical Japanese literature. He was also a historian, author, and military officer.

Zhu Rui (1905–1948) was born in Suqian, Jiangsu province. He was an artillery commander of the Chinese People's Liberation Army from October 1946 to October 1948.
