Kokkare Hosahalli Shekh Haider Nissar Ahmed, known as K. S. Nissar Ahmed, was an Indian poet and writer in the Kannada language. He was awarded the Padma Shri (2008), the Rajyotsava Award (1981) and the Pampa award for his work (2017). He became a household name for his work Nityostava, which is a poem about Karnataka, a piece he composed after seeing Jog falls. He has numerous poems, translations and children's books to his credit. He is known for using simple words that resonate deeply with the public in his literary work.

Alexander Walter Barr Lyle is a Scottish professional golfer. Lyle has won two major championships during his career. Along with Nick Faldo and Ian Woosnam, he became one of Britain's top golfers during the 1980s. He spent 167 weeks in the top-10 of the Official World Golf Ranking from its introduction, in 1986, until 1989. Lyle was inducted to the World Golf Hall of Fame in May 2012.

Adenan bin Satem was the fifth Chief Minister of Sarawak, in office from 2014 to 2017. During his tenure as Chief Minister, Adenan held the position as the President of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB), which is part of the Barisan Nasional coalition. He was of Malay descent. A popular figure known affectionately as "Tok Nan", he died in office on 11 January 2017.

Vincent Klink is a German chef, restaurateur, author and publisher of culinary literature, jazz musician and media personality known for his food-focused television shows. In 2014, Klink received the Order of Merit of Baden-Württemberg. Klink was founder member of the Deutsche Akademie für Kulinaristik, which takes care of the scientific exploration of the culinary art and customs. Supporting quality food, Klink participated in the Internet-initiative against Genetically modified food.

Christian Marin was a French film actor. Born in Lyon, he is best known for his role in Le gendarme series, although he did not appear in the last two sequels. In 1967 he appeared in the television serial Les Chevaliers du ciel, in which he portrayed the character Ernest Laverdure.

Birch Evans Bayh Jr. was an American Democratic Party politician who served as U.S. Senator from Indiana from 1963 to 1981. He was first elected to office in 1954, when he won election to the Indiana House of Representatives; in 1958, he was elected Speaker, the youngest person to hold that office in the state's history. In 1962, he ran for the U.S. Senate, narrowly defeating incumbent Republican Homer E. Capehart. Shortly after entering the Senate, he became Chairman of the Subcommittee on Constitutional Amendments, and in that role authored two constitutional amendments: the twenty-fifth—which establishes procedures for an orderly transition of power in the case of the death, disability, or resignation of the President of the United States—and the twenty-sixth, which lowered the voting age to 18 throughout the United States. He is the only non–Founding Father to have authored two constitutional amendments. Bayh also led unsuccessful efforts to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment and eliminate the Electoral College.
