Alexandra Wong Fung Yiu also known as Grandma Wong, is a Hong Kong social activist of the pro-democracy camp. She came to international attention in 2019 for waving a large British flag at pro-democracy protests. She is also known for having been disappeared in August 2019, to publicly resurface only 14 months later at a press conference in Hong Kong, where she shared her ordeal of being held on the Chinese mainland.

Chu Tʽien-wen is a Taiwanese fiction writer. Chu is perhaps best known for writing the screenplays for most Hou Hsiao-hsien films. She is the recipient of the 2015 Newman Prize for Chinese Literature.

She is known for pleading guilty on 8 July 2010 for working in the United States as an unregistered foreign agent for Russia. She is also known for her leftist writings in El Diario La Prensa, a New York City Spanish language newspaper. Prior to working in the United States, Peláez was one of the first female television reporters in Peru where she reported for Frecuencia Latina.
