Matthew Alton Cartwright is an American politician and lawyer serving as the U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania's 8th congressional district since 2013. The district, numbered as the 17th district from 2013 through 2019, includes a large swath of northeastern Pennsylvania, anchored by Scranton, Wilkes-Barre and the Poconos. A member of the Democratic Party, Cartwright defeated 10-term incumbent Blue Dog Tim Holden, the dean of the Pennsylvania congressional delegation, in the Democratic primary on April 24, 2012, by a 57%–43% margin. Cartwright went on to defeat Republican Laureen Cummings in the general election on November 6, 2012, by a 61%–39% margin. As an attorney, Cartwright previously worked at the law firm of Munley, Munley, and Cartwright.

Steven Alexzander Horsford is an American politician and businessman serving as the U.S. Representative for Nevada's 4th congressional district since 2019, previously holding the position from 2013 to 2015. A member of the Democratic Party, he served in the Nevada Senate, representing the 4th district, in Clark County, from 2005 to 2013. Horsford was the first African American to serve as Majority Leader (2009–2013) and the first African American to represent Nevada in Congress. Horsford was defeated by a Republican opponent in 2014. After the election he joined an international Las Vegas-based business and marketing consulting firm, R&R Partners, for which he had worked before beginning his political career. In January 2018, he announced that he would run in the midterm elections, which he won in November 2018, defeating former Republican U.S. Representative Cresent Hardy in a rematch of their 2014 race.

Taurean Blacque is an American television and stage actor, best known for his role as Detective Neal Washington on the series Hill Street Blues. He has said he chose the name "Taurean" because his astrological sign is Taurus. He also is a past national spokesman for adoptive services, having been one of the first single black men in the United States to adopt a child. Blacque is a born-again Christian and has told reporters that his faith influenced his desire to be involved with adoption.

Harvey is the founder and former president of DKT International, the Washington, D.C.-based charity that implements family planning and HIV/AIDS prevention programs in 57 countries across Africa, Asia and Latin America. He is the chief sponsor of the DKT Liberty Project which raises awareness about freedom of speech issues in the U.S. Harvey is also the president of Adam & Eve, the North Carolina–based company that sells sex toys, adult films and condoms. Consequently, he has been called "one of the most influential figures in the American sex industry today".
