Born in Puerto Rico, Báez attended high school in Jacksonville, Florida. The Cubs selected Báez with the ninth overall selection of the 2011 MLB draft. He made his MLB debut in 2014.

Van Gaal is one of the most decorated managers in world football, having won 20 major honours in his managerial career. He is sometimes nicknamed the "Iron Tulip".

In addition to her two Grand Slam semifinals in 2017 at the Australian Open and the US Open, Vandeweghe has twice reached the quarterfinals at Wimbledon in both 2015 and 2017. Vandeweghe also owns one Grand Slam doubles title, which she won at the 2018 US Open with partner Ashleigh Barty.
