Daniel Lee Siebert
Daniel Lee Siebert was an American serial killer on Alabama's death row. He was convicted of three murders and confessed to at least five. During questioning he indicated that he was responsible for at least 12 deaths. Siebert died on April 22, 2008 in Holman Prison near Atmore of complications from cancer.
Steve Wright
Steven Gerald James Wright is an English serial killer, also known as the Suffolk Strangler and the Ipswich Ripper. He is serving life imprisonment for the murder of five women who worked as sex workers in Ipswich, Suffolk. The killings took place during the final months of 2006, and Wright was found guilty in February 2008.
Fernando Hernández Leyva
Fernando Hernández Leyva is a Mexican serial killer. He was convicted in 1986 of 33 counts of murder committed in 5 different states of the Mexican union, but he confessed to killing around 100. Leyva's suspected number of actual murders amounts to 137, which would turn him into one of the most prolific serial killers in the history of Mexico. He was an organized killer, nomadic, hedonistic and motivated by interest.
Louis van Schoor
Sybrand Jacobus Lodewikus "Louis" van Schoor, known as The Apartheid Killer, is a South African serial killer, former policeman and security guard who committed murders between 1986 and 1989. He was convicted of seven murders and two assassinations. However, in an interview, he did not deny murdering more than 100 people.
David Thabo Simelane
David Thabo Simelane is a Swazi serial killer sentenced to death for the murder of 28 women, but is suspected of murdering 45.
Earle Nelson
Earle Leonard Nelson, also known in the media as the "Gorilla Man," the "Gorilla Killer," and the "Dark Strangler," was an American serial killer, rapist, and necrophile. He was the first known American serial sex murderer of the twentieth century. Born and raised in San Francisco, California by his devoutly Pentecostal grandmother, Nelson exhibited bizarre behavior as a child, which was compounded by head injuries he sustained in a bicycling accident at age ten. After committing various minor offenses in early adulthood, he was institutionalized in Napa for a time.
Francisco García Escalero
Francisco García Escalero was a Spanish serial killer convicted for the murders of 11 individuals between 1987 and 1994. He also practiced necrophilia and cannibalism.
Gong Runbo
Gong Runbo was a Chinese serial killer who, between March 2005 and February 2006, murdered at least six children between the ages of 9 and 16. Forensic evidence led police to believe he may have killed over twenty.
David Avendaño Ballina
David Avendaño Ballina, alias "The Hamburger" was the alleged leader of "Las Goteras", a gang of sex servants who poisoned their clients to steal from 1997 to 2007, who were responsible for dozens of deaths. He is linked to at least 70 murders. Although because of his motive he's not typically classified as a serial killer.
Petr Zelenka
Petr Zelenka is a Czech serial killer. Zelenka, a nurse in Havlíčkův Brod, 100 kilometres (62 mi) southeast of Prague, murdered seven patients by lethal injection, and attempted to kill 10 others between May and December, 2006. He killed with a hidden vial of heparin — a blood-thinning drug causing internal bleeding when administered in large doses. Zelenka has already confessed and been taken into custody. His lawyer has been quoted as saying that Zelenka may have killed on an impulse to "test" doctors in Havlíčkův Brod, in the belief they were not good enough to discover the truth. In February 2008, Zelenka was convicted of killing seven patients and attempting to kill 10 others, and sentenced to life imprisonment.
