Abraham Kuyper, "with a 'y', not an 'ij'", was Prime Minister of the Netherlands between 1901 and 1905, an influential neo-Calvinist theologian and also a journalist. He established the Reformed Churches in the Netherlands, which upon its foundation became the second largest Reformed denomination in the country behind the state-supported Dutch Reformed Church.

Yvonne Kanazawa Scott is a retired Japanese athlete who specialised in the high hurdles. She represented her country at two consecutive Summer Olympics starting in 1996.

Prince Barbu Alexandru Știrbey was 30th Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Romania in 1927. He was the son of Prince Alexandru Știrbey and his wife Princess Maria Ghika-Comănești, and grandson of another Barbu Dimitrie Știrbei, who was Prince of Wallachia and died in 1869. The Știrbey family was one of the more prominent and wealthier boyar (noble) families in Wallachia, and had been so since the 15th century. Știrbey was educated at the Sorbonne in Paris, and was famous in Romania for his work in modernising the vast estates he owned and for "his model farm was recognized for the exceptional quality of its products". Știrbey was a polished, cultivated aristocrat known in Romania as the "White Prince" on the account of his impeccable manners.

Manuel García Prieto, 1st Marquis of Alhucemas was a Spanish politician who served as prime minister several times in his life and as the 30th Solicitor General of Spain. He was a member of the Liberal Party. During his last term, he was deposed by Miguel Primo de Rivera.
