Thomas Harrison Montgomery Jr. was an American zoologist who made important contributions to cell biology–especially in chromosomes and their roles in sex determination–as well as the biology of birds and several groups invertebrates, naming many species of ribbon worms, rotifers, and spiders. He studied in Berlin before becoming a researcher and professor at the University of Pennsylvania, where he primarily worked until his death at the age of 39. In his short career he published 80 scientific papers and two books.

Sir Thomas Wyatt the Younger was an English politician and rebel leader during the reign of Queen Mary I; his rising is traditionally called "Wyatt's rebellion". He was the son of the English poet and ambassador Sir Thomas Wyatt.

Thomas Gisborne was an English Whig and Liberal politician who sat in the House of Commons variously between 1830 and 1852.

Thomas Henry Raymond Ashton, 2nd Baron Ashton of Hyde JP DL. The son of Thomas Gair Ashton, 1st Baron Ashton of Hyde and Eva Margaret James. He succeeded his father as 2nd Baron Ashton of Hyde on the latter's death on 1 May 1933. On his death in 1983 he was succeeded in the barony by his son.
