Peng Shuai is a Chinese professional female tennis player. She reached a career-high of world No. 1 in the doubles ranking by the WTA as the first Chinese tennis player in February 2014. In August 2011, she peaked at No. 14 of the singles rankings. Peng has won two singles and 22 doubles titles. She won a gold medal at the 2010 Asian Games, defeating Akgul Amanmuradova in the final. At the 2013 Wimbledon Championships, Peng won her first ladies' doubles championship with Hsieh Su-wei of Taiwan and again won at the 2014 French Open with Hsieh. Her best performance at a Grand Slam tournament in singles came at the 2014 US Open when she reached the semifinals, becoming the third Chinese tennis player in history to make a major semifinal after Zheng Jie and Li Na.

Peng Liyuan is a Chinese contemporary folk singer who is the spouse of the President of the People's Republic of China. Peng Liyuan is married to the current General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party and President Xi Jinping. Peng is referred to as the "Chinese First Lady" by Chinese media. During 2012 to 2017, Peng was the President of then People's Liberation Army Academy of Art, and from 2005 to 2010, served as Vice President of the All-China Youth Federation.

Peng Cheng-min,, is a Taiwanese former baseball player and baseball coach who previously played right fielder, first base and designated hitter for the Chinatrust Brothers of the Chinese Professional Baseball League from 2001 to 2019.

Peng Ming-min is a noted democracy activist, advocate of Taiwan independence, and politician. Arrested for sedition in 1964 for printing a manifesto advocating democracy in his native Taiwan, he escaped to Sweden, before taking a post as a university teacher in the United States. Known as "the father of China's nuclear submarines" and the "father of China's naval nuclear propulsion", he was the first chief designer of the country's nuclear submarine project, directing his team to build China's first generation of nuclear submarines. He was also the main designer for China's first nuclear power plants, and was an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. He served as deputy minister for China's Ministry of Shipbuilding Industry, and Ministry of Hydropower.

Peng Xinyong is a Chinese former badminton player. She competed at the 1996 Summer Olympics in the women's and mixed doubles teamed-up with Chen Ying and Chen Xingdong respectively. Together with Chen Xingdong, she reached a career high as World No. 3 in the mixed doubles event. Peng won a gold medal at the 1997 East Asian Games in the women's doubles event with Zhang Jin. She also part of the national team that won the 1995 Sudirman Cup and runner-up at the 1996 Uber Cup.
