James Dexter Weatherly was an American singer-songwriter who wrote mostly pop and country music. He played quarterback at the University of Mississippi, while also writing music with his own bands. He subsequently chose songwriting over a football career.

Jim Leavelle
James Robert Leavelle was a Dallas Police Department homicide detective who, on November 24, 1963, was escorting John F. Kennedy assassin Lee Harvey Oswald through the basement of Dallas Police headquarters when Oswald was shot by Jack Ruby. Several photographs—including one that won a Pulitzer Prize—were taken of Oswald just before and as Ruby pulled the trigger.
Jim Hillyer
James Nation Hillyer was a federal Canadian politician who served as a Member of Parliament for the electoral district of Lethbridge and later Medicine Hat–Cardston–Warner. Hillyer was first elected to the House of Commons for the federal Conservative Party of Canada in the 2011 election and then re-elected in 2015. He served his community in this role until his death in March 2016.
