George "Gigi" Becali is a Romanian businessman and politician, mostly known for his ownership of the FCSB football club. He was a Member of the European Parliament between June 2009 and December 2012, and a Member of the Romanian Parliament from December 2012 up until his conviction in May 2013.

George Edwin Mueller, was an American electrical engineer who was an associate administrator at NASA who headed the Office of Manned Space Flight from September 1963 until December 1969. Hailed as one of NASA's "most brilliant and fearless managers", he was instrumental in introducing the all-up testing philosophy for the Saturn V launch vehicle, which ensured the success of the Apollo program in landing a man on the Moon and returning him safely to the Earth by the end of 1969. Mueller also played a key part in the design of Skylab, and championed the space shuttle's development, which earned him the nickname, "the father of the space shuttle."

George Stephen Ferguson was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who played 797 career National Hockey League games for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Pittsburgh Penguins and Minnesota North Stars. He was selected in the first round of the 1972 NHL Amateur Draft from the Toronto Marlboros. Ferguson coached the Trenton Sting, a junior A level hockey team based in his hometown of Trenton, Ontario. He died in 2019 at the age of 67.

George Ivanovich Gurdjieff was a Russian philosopher, mystic, spiritual teacher, and composer of Armenian and Greek descent, born in Alexandropol, Russian Empire. Gurdjieff taught that most humans do not possess a unified consciousness and thus live their lives in a state of hypnotic "waking sleep", but that it is possible to awaken to a higher state of consciousness and achieve full human potential. Gurdjieff described a method attempting to do so, calling the discipline "The Work" or "the System". According to his principles and instructions, Gurdjieff's method for awakening one's consciousness unites the methods of the fakir, monk and yogi, and thus he referred to it as the "Fourth Way".
