Davyd Vazhayevych Zhvania was a Ukrainian politician who served as the Emergency Minister of Ukraine and as a People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from 2002 to 2010 for the pro-European Our Ukraine Bloc and from 2012 to 2014 for the pro-Russian Party of Regions.

David Peter Gray is a British singer-songwriter. He released his first album in 1993 and received worldwide attention after the release of White Ladder six years later. It was the first of three UK chart-toppers in six years for Gray, of which the latter two also made the Top 17 in the United States. White Ladder became the fifth best-selling album of the 2000s in the UK. In October 2019 it was ranked the tenth best-selling album of the 21st century in the United Kingdom. Gray has been nominated for four Brit Awards – twice for Best British Male.

He is a professor of mathematics at the University of California, Berkeley and was Director of the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI) from 1997 to 2007. He was reappointed to this office in 2013, and his term has been extended until July 31, 2022.
