William Ernest Walsh was an American professional and college football coach. He served as head coach of the San Francisco 49ers and the Stanford Cardinal, during which time he popularized the West Coast offense. After retiring from the 49ers, Walsh worked as a sports broadcaster for several years and then returned as head coach at Stanford for three seasons.

William Van Duzer Lawrence IV is an American screenwriter, producer, and director. He is the creator of the series Scrubs and co-creator of shows including Cougar Town, Spin City, Ground Floor, Ted Lasso, and the short-lived animated series Clone High, in which he also voiced the leader of the shadowy figures. He has written for many other shows, including The Nanny and Boy Meets World.

Billy Eugene Self Jr. is an American basketball coach. He is the head men's basketball coach at the University of Kansas, a position he has held since 2003. During his 17 seasons as head coach, he has led the Jayhawks to 15 Big 12 regular season championships, including a share of an NCAA record 14 consecutive Big 12 regular season championships (2005–2018). He has also led the Jayhawks to three NCAA Final Four appearances, and the 2008 NCAA championship. Self was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in September 2017. Self, as of the end of the 2018–19 season, has the 23rd most wins among Division I coaches in NCAA history and 8th among active head coaches.

William Richard Shorten is an Australian politician who served as Leader of the Opposition and leader of the Australian Labor Party (ALP) from 2013 to 2019. Shorten was first elected as the member of parliament (MP) for Maribyrnong in 2007, and was a cabinet minister in the Gillard and Rudd Governments from 2010 to 2013.

The fund, and associated accounts, eventually grew to $4.5 billion of assets under management. In 1997, the Hermitage Fund was the best-performing fund in the world, up 238%. The primary investment strategy of Browder was shareholder rights activism. Browder took on large Russian companies such as Gazprom, Surgutneftegaz, Unified Energy Systems, and Sidanco. In retaliation, on November 13, 2005, Browder was refused entry to Russia, deported to the UK, and declared a threat to Russian national security.
