Adolphe Pinard was a French obstetrician who was a native of Méry-sur-Seine. He practiced medicine in Paris, where he was an assistant to Étienne Stéphane Tarnier (1828–1897) and a professor of obstetrics, as well as a member of parliament for the Paris region.

Adolphe Stoclet (1871-1949) was a Belgian engineer, financier and noted collector. Today, however, he is most famous as the man who commissioned the Palais Stoclet, a mansion in Brussels, Belgium, between 1907 and 1911.

Adolphe Grognier, known under the pseudonym Jean-Baptiste Quélus, was a French actor and singer. The son of lawyer Louis-Furcy Grognier (1777-1832), and Hélène Caylus, he was appointed twice as director of La Monnaie of Brussels, in 1854 and 1856.
