Valeriya Gavriilovna Zaklunna-Myronenko was a Soviet and Ukrainian actress and politician. A member of the Communist Party of Ukraine, she was a co-winner, with other members of the cast of the film To The Last Minute, of the 1975 Shevchenko National Prize.

Adam Richard Yates is a British road and track racing cyclist who currently rides for Ineos Grenadiers. He placed fourth overall at the 2016 Tour de France and became the first British rider to win the young rider classification, one year ahead of his twin brother Simon,

Sean Eldridge is a Canadian-born American political activist, former congressional candidate, and the founder and president of Stand Up America, a progressive advocacy community. Eldridge previously served as political director of Freedom to Marry, the campaign to win recognition of same-sex marriage nationwide.

Melissa Bishop-Nriagu is a Canadian runner who specialises in the 800 metres. She competed at the 2012, 2016 Olympics and 2020 Olympics, and won a silver medal at the 2015 World Athletics Championships. Her World Championship medal was the first ever medal in the 800 m by a Canadian woman. Bishop-Nriagu graduated from University of Windsor and was only the third Canadian woman to achieve a time under 2:00 minutes in the 800 m. She is currently the national record holder for this distance.

Cynthia Nonyelum Sember is an American-born British track and field athlete, specialising in sprint hurdles. She finished fourth in the 100 metres hurdles final at the 2016 Olympic Games. Her best times, 12.60 secs for the 100 metres hurdles in 2015, and 7.89 secs for the 60 metres hurdles indoors in 2016, rank her third on the British all-time list for both events behind her sister and British record-holder, Tiffany Porter and Olympic champion helptathlete, Jessica Ennis-Hill.

Hans-Peter "Hansi" Müller is a former German footballer who played as a midfielder. Both his parents were of Transylvanian Saxon descent that were deported from Romania after World War II.

Sheldon Shane Cottrell is a Jamaican international cricketer who plays for the West Indies cricket team. He is a left-arm fast-medium bowler and a right-handed batsman.

Nwankwo Kanu OON is a Nigerian former professional footballer who played as a forward. He was a member of the Nigeria national team, and played for Nigerian team Iwuanyanwu Nationale, Dutch side Ajax, Inter Milan of Italy, and English clubs Arsenal, West Bromwich Albion and Portsmouth.

Carlo Karges was a German musician who became a guitarist and songwriter for the rock band, Nena. He wrote the lyrics of Nena's most famous song, "99 Luftballons", released in 1983. He was attending a 1982 Rolling Stones concert at the Waldbühne in West Berlin, when they released a large mass of helium balloons into the air. He wondered how East German or Soviet forces might react if the balloons crossed the Berlin Wall, and thus he conceived the idea for the song about a major war resulting from misidentification of a mass of balloons.
