Esteban Moctezuma
Esteban Moctezuma Barragán is a Mexican politician formerly affiliated with the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) and is currently a member of MORENA. He is a former senator and served as secretary of social development and secretary of the interior in the cabinet of President Ernesto Zedillo Ponce de León. From that position, early in January 1995, he pursued peace talks in Chiapas with the EZLN insurgents; in February the government pursued a strategy of military intervention, followed by a resumption of peace talks with the insurgents. In 2018, he was appointed by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador as Secretary of Education. On 16 December 2020, Moctezuma was nominated Ambassador of Mexico to the United States, subject to Senate confirmation.
Leonor Cortés Moctezuma
Doña Leonor Cortés Moctezuma was the out-of-wedlock daughter of Hernán Cortés, conquistador of Mexico, and Doña Isabel Moctezuma the eldest daughter of the Aztec Emperor Moctezuma II. She was acknowledged by her father and married Juan de Tolosa, one of the discoverers of the silver mines in Zacatecas.

Doña Isabel Moctezuma was a daughter of the Aztec ruler Moctezuma II. She was the consort of the Aztec emperors Atlixcatzin, Cuitláhuac, and Cuauhtémoc and as such the last Aztec empress. After the Spanish conquest, Doña Isabel was recognized as Moctezuma's legitimate heir, and became one of the indigenous Mexicans granted an encomienda. Among the others were her half-sister Marina Moctezuma, and Juan Sánchez, an Indian governor in Oaxaca.

Juan López Moctezuma
Juan López Moctezuma was a Mexican film director and actor. He was born in Mexico City in 1929. During his career he directed five films, all in the genres of supernatural horror and suspense: The Mansion of Madness (1973), Mary, Mary, Bloody Mary (1975), To Kill a Stranger (1984), El Alimento del Miedo (1994), and his most recognized and controversial work, Alucarda (1977), which tells the story of a satanic possession in a Catholic convent.
