Mahmoud El Khatib, popularly nicknamed Bibo, is an Egyptian retired footballer and current President of Al Ahly Sporting Club. He is widely regarded as one of the best players in African football history.

Hanni El Khatib is a Palestinian-Filipino American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist songwriter and producer as well as visual director and co-owner of the Los Angeles-based independent record label Innovative Leisure. His 2013 sophomore full-length Head In The Dirt was produced by the Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach. His album Moonlight was released on Jan. 20, 2015. He was described by The Guardian as a “former skate-punk raised on vintage rock and R&B [who] is keeping the spirit of 76 alive with his primal raunch ‘n’ roll.”

Shaikh Ahmad Khatib al-Minangkabawi was a Minangkabau Islamic teacher. He was born in Koto Tuo, Dutch East Indies on 6 Dzulhijjah 1276 H and died in Mecca, Ottoman Empire on 8 Jumadil Awal 1334 H. He served as the head (imam) of the Shafi'i school of law at the mosque of Mecca. Many Indonesian Islamic reformist leaders learned from him, including Ahmad Dahlan, as founder Muhammadiyah and Hasyim Asyari, as founder Nahdlatul Ulama.

Fadi El Khatib, nicknamed the Lebanese Tiger, is a Lebanese professional basketball player for Champville SC in the Lebanese Basketball League. He is regarded as one of the best in Asia and by many pundits of the new era named as the greatest one. He was also a main member of the Lebanon national basketball team that participated in the 2002 FIBA World Championship in Indianapolis in the United States, the 2006 FIBA World Championship in Japan, and in the 2010 FIBA World Championship held in Turkey.
