Susan Cummings was a German-American actress active from the 1940s to 1960s, who started as a teenager in the earliest days of commercial television and appeared in several television shows, feature films and on Broadway. Her Tafel birth surname was sometimes printed as Ta Fel.

Robert Tyrell "T. J" Cummings Jr. is an American former basketball player. He is the son of former NBA player Terry Cummings and graduate of Homewood-Flossmoor High School. Cummings played college basketball with the UCLA Bruins for four years. Upon graduation, he was drafted in the 2005 NBDL draft by the Albuquerque Thunderbirds in the 3rd round. In his rookie year, he averaged 12.6 points per game and 6.4 rebounds per game. On April 22, Albuquerque won the NBDL Championship against the Fort Worth Flyers 119-108.

Bill Cummings nicknamed "Wild Bill", won the 1934 Indianapolis 500. Cummings died driving a passenger automobile on State Road 29 in Indianapolis, when he hit a guard rail and plunged 50 feet (15 m) into Lick Creek. Cummings was pulled from the water by passers-by while still alive, but died in the hospital two days later.
