Caoilfhionn Shanley-Ferguson, also known as Keelin Shanley, was a journalist, newsreader and presenter with RTÉ, Ireland's national radio and television station, where she had presented the Six One News, alongside Caitríona Perry from January 2018 until her death in February 2020.

Carlton Lee Haselrig was an American heavyweight wrestler and NFL player. Haselrig wrestled for University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. He is the only person to win six NCAA titles in wrestling, three times in Division II and three times in Division I. His Three-Peat of Division II & Division I NCAA National Championships were won in 1987, 1988, and 1989. All six championships were won for Pitt–Johnstown. Haselrig then moved on to professional football, where he played five seasons in the NFL, becoming a Pro Bowl guard in 1992. In 2008, he made his mixed martial arts debut in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Brent Carver was a Canadian actor who was best known for his performances on Broadway in Parade as Leo Frank and Kiss of the Spider Woman as Molina, for which he won the Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical in 1993.

Hafez Abu Seada was an Egyptian politician, human rights activist, and Chairman of the Egyptian Organization for Human rights, Egypt's oldest human rights NGO, most known for his campaigns against torture and police brutality in Egypt. Abu Seada was also member of the National Council for Human Rights, Egypt's national human rights institution.

Boris Grigoryevich Plotnikov was a Soviet and Russian film actor. His film debut was as Sotnikov in The Ascent, the acclaimed final film of Russian director Larisa Shepitko. Plotnikov appeared in more than seventy feature films and television series.

Eleanor Margaret Burbidge, FRS (née Peachey; 12 August 1919 – 5 April 2020) was a British-American observational astronomer and astrophysicist. In the 1950s, she was one of the founders of stellar nucleosynthesis and was first author of the influential B²FH paper. During the 1960s and 70s she worked on galaxy rotation curves and quasars, discovering the most distant astronomical object then known. In the 1980s and 90s she helped develop and utilise the Faint Object Spectrograph on the Hubble Space Telescope. Burbidge was well known for her work opposing discrimination against women in astronomy.

Ernesto Cardenal Martínez was a Nicaraguan Catholic priest, poet, and politician. He was a liberation theologian and the founder of the primitivist art community in the Solentiname Islands, where he lived for more than ten years (1965–1977). A former member of the Nicaraguan Sandinistas, he was Nicaragua's minister of culture from 1979 to 1987. He was prohibited from administering the sacraments in 1984 by Pope John Paul II, but rehabilitated by Pope Francis in 2019.

Sascha Hupmann was a German professional basketball player. From Munich, He played college basketball for the Evansville Purple Aces before turning professional; he also played for the German national team.

David John Capel was an English cricketer who played for Northamptonshire and England. Cricket writer Colin Bateman noted that "Capel was one of those unfortunate cricketers who became tagged as being the next all-rounder to fill Ian Botham's boots". He was well known for his long stint with Northamptonshire as a player as well as coach for nearly 32 years. He was regarded as one of the icons of the Northamptonshire club. He died on 2 September 2020, at the age of 57, after being diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2018.

Gustavo Guillén was an Argentine actor and musician. His real name was Gabriel Gustavo Dasso. Gustavo Guillén became famous for his roles in Argentina's soap operas. He was the drummer of the rock band Fuera de Peligro, and he performed in the theater.
