William van Cutsem, better known by his pen name William Vance, was a Belgian comics artist known for his distinctive realistic style and work in Franco-Belgian comics.

Laura Aguilar was an American photographer. She was born with auditory dyslexia and attributes her start in photography to her brother who showed her how to develop in dark rooms. She was mostly self-taught although she took some photography courses at East Los Angeles College where her second solo exhibition Laura Aguilar: Show and Tell was held. She is well known for her portraits, mostly of herself and also focused upon people in marginalized communities including LGBT and Latino subjects and obese people.

Edgardo Javier Angara was a Filipino politician who served as the President of the Senate of the Philippines from 1993 to 1995. He was a Senator from 1987 to 1998 and then served as Secretary of Agriculture from 1999 to 2001. He served in the Senate again from 2001 to 2013. He also previously served as the President of the University of the Philippines, and was succeeded by political scientist Dr. José Abueva.

Jules-Aristide Bourdes-Ogouliguende was a Gabonese politician who was the President of the Congress for Democracy and Justice (CDJ), an opposition party. He served as a minister in the government of Gabon from 1976 to 1990 and was President of the National Assembly from 1990 to 1993; from 1993 until his death in 2018.

Peter Brackley was an English football commentator, perhaps most famous for commentating for Football Italia on Channel 4 in the 1990s and formerly commentating for the computer game series Pro Evolution Soccer, up until Pro Evolution Soccer 6 whereupon he was succeeded by Jon Champion, and for Michael Owen's World League Soccer '99.

Peter Denis Sutherland was an Irish businessman, barrister and politician who served as UN Special Representative for International Migration from 2006 to 2017, Chairman of Goldman Sachs from 1995 to 2015, Director-General of the World Trade Organization from 1993 to 1995, European Commissioner for Competition from 1985 to 1989 and Attorney General of Ireland from 1981 to 1982 and 1982 to 1984.

Zura Karuhimbi was a Rwandan woman who saved more than 100 people from being killed by Hutu militias during the 1994 Rwandan genocide. A traditional healer, she hid the refugees in her house and deterred attackers by masquerading as a witch. Her role was recognised in 2006 by the award of the Campaign Against Genocide Medal by Rwandan President Paul Kagame.

Karl Mildenberger was a German heavyweight boxer. He was the European Heavyweight Champion from 1964 to 1968, during which he retained the title six times. He unsuccessfully challenged Muhammad Ali for the World Heavyweight title in September 1966.

Wesley Carl Hopkins was an American professional football player who played as a safety for the Philadelphia Eagles during his entire 11-year National Football League career from 1983 through 1993. A walk-on for the Southern Methodist football team, he was first noticed after he made a ferocious tackle on teammate and future Pro Football Hall of Fame running back Eric Dickerson during a team practice. Hopkins was named to the All-Conference selection in each of his last two seasons at SMU.

James McIlroy was a Northern Ireland international footballer, who played for Glentoran, Burnley, Stoke City and Oldham Athletic. He was regarded as one of Burnley's greatest players, having played 497 matches and scoring 131 goals. McIlroy also managed Oldham Athletic and Bolton Wanderers.
