Sir Alistair Allan Horne was a British journalist, biographer and historian of Europe, especially of 19th and 20th century France. He wrote more than 20 books on travel, history, and biography.

Gualtiero Marchesi was an Italian chef, considered to be the founder of modern Italian cuisine.

Giorgio Pressburger was an Italian writer of novels and short stories.

Ryszard Parulski was a Polish fencer. He won a silver medal in the team foil event at the 1964 Summer Olympics and a bronze in the same event at the 1968 Summer Olympics.

László Kovács was a Hungarian football goalkeeper who was in the squad for Hungary in the 1978 FIFA World Cup. He also played for Videoton FC.

Nasser Givehchi was an Iranian featherweight freestyle wrestler. He competed at the 1952 and 1956 Olympics and won a silver medal in 1952. He ranked fifth at the 1954 World Wrestling Championships and won a bronze medal at the 1958 Asian Games. After retiring from competitions he had a long career as a national wrestling coach and international referee.

Giorgio Bàrberi Squarotti was an Italian academic, literary critic and poet. He taught at the University of Turin from 1967 until his death in 2017. He was considered to be one of the most important literary critics of his time.

Eliana María Krawczyk was an officer of the Argentine Navy. She was among the 44 crew members of the Argentine submarine ARA San Juan when it sank on 15 November 2017.
