Gerald Lincoln "Gerry" Bron was an English record producer and band manager. In his early days, he managed the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band.

John Rich was an American film and television director. He directed Colonel Humphrey Flack, I Married Joan, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Hogan's Heroes, Where's Raymond?, Mister Ed, The Dick Van Dyke Show, All in the Family, The Jeffersons, Maude, Good Times, Barney Miller, Newhart, Benson, The Brady Bunch, and Gilligan's Island. His feature film credits include Wives and Lovers, Boeing Boeing, The New Interns, Roustabout and Easy Come, Easy Go. He also participated in the live telecast of the opening-day ceremonies of Disneyland in 1955.

Lyubov Ivanovna Sadchikova was a Soviet speed skater who won the all-round world championship in 1978. In 1975, she set a world record in 500 m. Next year, she finished sixth in the same event at the 1976 Winter Olympics.

Carlo Maria Martini was an Italian Jesuit and cardinal of the Catholic Church. He was Archbishop of Milan from 1980 to 2002 and was elevated to the cardinalate in 1983. A towering intellectual figure of the Roman Catholic Church, Martini was the liberal contender for the Papacy in the 2005 conclave, following the death of Pope John Paul II. According to highly placed Vatican sources, Martini received more votes in the first round than Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, the conservative candidate: 40 to 38. Ratzinger ended up with more votes in subsequent rounds and was elected Pope Benedict XVI.

Milton Gray Campbell was an American decathlete of the 1950s. In 1956, he became the first African American to win the gold medal in the decathlon of the Summer Olympic Games.

Judith Crist was an American film critic and academic. She appeared regularly on the Today show from 1964 to 1973 and was among the first full-time female critics for a major American newspaper, in her case, the New York Herald Tribune. She was the founding film critic at New York magazine and became known to most Americans as a critic at the weekly magazine TV Guide and at the morning TV show Today. She appeared in one film, Woody Allen's dramatic-comedy film Stardust Memories (1980), and was the author of various books, including The Private Eye, The Cowboy and the Very Naked Girl; Judith Crist's TV Guide to the Movies; and Take 22: Moviemakers on Moviemaking.

Michail Gerasimovich Markov was a Russian cyclist who won a silver medal at the UCI Motor-paced World Championships in 1967. This was the only medal for the Soviet Unions in the entire history of those championships.

Ernesta De Mola, best known as Tina De Mola, was an Italian actress, singer and television personality.

Verna Rae Harrah was an American film producer. She was the widow of William F. Harrah, the hotel and casino magnate. She contributed to many charities and philanthropic causes.
