John "Jack" F. Gifford was an American engineer and businessman best known as a founder and former CEO, President and Chairman of the Board of Maxim Integrated Products, an analog semiconductor company, located in San Jose, California. He served as the company's CEO until his retirement in 2007.

Adrian Kivumbi Ddungu was a Ugandan Roman Catholic priest who served as the second bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Masaka, in Uganda, from 11 November 1961 until 10 January 1998.

Inge Birgit Anker Hansen is a former Danish badminton player. With her mixed doubles partners Finn Kobberø and Poul-Erik Nielsen she won the National title in 1954, 1959 & 1961. In addition Inge won the women's doubles in 1956 & 1960 with Aase Winther. Her greatest success came during the 1959 All England Badminton Championships when she won the mixed doubles with Nielsen.

Liu Zhaohua was a Chinese drug lord known for producing and trafficking over 18 tonnes of methamphetamine. The amount Liu made was worth more than US$5 billion. This made Liu one of the biggest drug lords in China and a reward of RMB200,000 (~US$24,160) was offered for information leading to his arrest.

Shailaja Acharya was a Nepali revolutionary, politician and diplomat. She was the first Nepali woman Minister of Water Resources, and the first Nepali woman deputy prime minister.
