Walter Lee Barnes was an American football player and actor. He played professional football as a guard in the National Football League (NFL) for the Philadelphia Eagles and college football at Louisiana State University. Barnes was an actor in both American and European films. He appeared in several films with John Wayne, Lex Barker, and Clint Eastwood.

Bob Martin, born Leo Heppe, was an Austrian singer, who was the first participant representing Austria in the 1957 Eurovision Song Contest. The first "Austrian" was Freddy Quinn who represented Germany in 1956. Martin, singing in German "Wohin, kleines Pony?", placed last in the field of ten. He received three points in total - one from the Netherlands and two from the United Kingdom. He has been especially popular in southern Austria.

Kenneth Allen McDuff was an American serial killer. He was convicted in 1966 of murdering 16-year-old Edna Sullivan, her boyfriend, 17-year-old Robert Brand, and Brand's cousin, 15-year-old Mark Dunnam, who was visiting from California. They were all strangers whom McDuff abducted after noticing Sullivan. McDuff repeatedly raped her before breaking her neck with a broomstick.
