Sonia Haft Greene Lovecraft Davis was an American one-time pulp fiction writer and amateur publisher, businesswoman and milliner who bankrolled several fanzines in the early twentieth century. She is noted for her two-year marriage to American weird fiction writer H. P. Lovecraft. She was a president of the United Amateur Press Association.

Gastone Medin (1905–1973) was an Italian art director. He worked on more than a hundred and fifty films during his career.

Ásgeir Ásgeirsson was the second President of Iceland, from 1952 to 1968. He was a Freemason and served as Grandmaster of the Icelandic Order of Freemasons.

Suhasini Chattopadhyay was an Indian communist leader and freedom fighter. She was the first woman member of the Communist Party of India.

Franz Hellens, born Frédéric van Ermengem was a prolific Belgian novelist, poet and critic. Although of Flemish descent, he wrote entirely in French, and lived in Paris from 1947 to 1971. He was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature four times.

Rudolf Belling was a German sculptor. His work was part of the sculpture event in the art competition at the 1932 Summer Olympics.
