James Neill was an American stage actor and film actor of the silent era. He appeared in 113 films between 1913 and 1930. His wife, and frequent costar on stage and screen, was Edythe Chapman.

Enrico Rastelli was an Italian juggler, acrobat and performer.

Marcel Planiol was a French professor of law at the University of Rennes, then at the Sorbonne. He wrote on the law and on historical Brittany. He is known for his Elementary Treatise of Civil Law (1901), which attempted to explain French civil law in terms of elementary principles, particularly the maxims of Roman law.

Ada Maria Jenyns, also known as Mrs. Robert Jocelyn or Ada Maria Jocelyn, was a British Victorian novelist.

John Francis Stanley Russell, 2nd Earl Russell, known as Frank Russell, was the elder surviving son of Viscount and Viscountess Amberley, and was raised by his paternal grandparents after his unconventional parents both died young. He was the grandson of the former prime minister John Russell, 1st Earl Russell and elder brother of the philosopher Bertrand Russell. He was married three times, lastly to Elizabeth von Arnim, who caricatured him in her novel Vera. Despite his landmark achievements in other respects, this Earl Russell is most famous for being tried for bigamy in the House of Lords in 1901, and was known to Edwardian society as the "Wicked Earl".

Li Shuoxun is a Chinese communist martyr. He joined the Chinese Communist Party in 1924, and went underground after the Kuomintang (KMT)'s massacre of communists in 1927. In 1931 he went to Hainan, was caught by the KMT and executed. He is now commemorated as a revolutionary martyr.
