German was the 43rd Patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church from 1958 to 1990. He was successful in revitalizing the Serbian Orthodox Church to a certain extent during the Communist period, despite two schisms that occurred during his tenure.

Ralph Walter McGehee Jr was case officer of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), serving the CIA for 25 years, and an author. From 1953 to 1972, his assignments were in East Asia and Southeast Asia, where he held administrative posts. Since leaving intelligence work in 1977, he publicly expressed views highly critical of the CIA.

İsmail Hakkı Akansel was a Turkish military general and politician. In 1980, Akansel was appointed Mayor of Istanbul following the 1980 Turkish coup d'état and the establishment of military rule in Turkey. He served as the Mayor of Istanbul from September 1980 to August 1981.
