Donald Marland Hewlett was an English actor, born in Northenden, Manchester, Lancashire, and best known for his sitcom roles as Colonel Charles Reynolds in It Ain't Half Hot Mum and Lord Meldrum in You Rang, M'Lord?, both written by Jimmy Perry and David Croft. He also other roles in British film and television productions.

Hélder Pessoa Câmara was a Brazilian Catholic Archbishop. He was the Archbishop of Olinda and Recife, serving from 1964 to 1985, during the military dictatorship of the country.

Stojan Batič was a Slovene sculptor. Mostly a figurative artist, he is particularly known for his sculptures exhibited in many public places in Slovenia.

Mary Wesley, CBE was an English novelist. During her career, she was one of Britain's most successful novelists, selling three million copies of her books, including ten bestsellers in the last twenty years of her life.

Faure Chomón was a Cuban historian and politician. He was one of the founding members and leaders of the Directorio Revolucionario Estudiantil. After the triumph of the Revolution he joined Fidel Castro's regime. Early in his career, he served as the Secretary of Communication and Transportation and Ambassador to the Soviet Union. Later he served as Ambassador to Vietnam and Ecuador as well as historian of the Revolution. He was also member of the National Assembly of People's Power from 1976 to his death.
