James Kendall "Jake" Phelps was an American skateboarder and magazine editor. Phelps led the magazine Thrasher as editor-in-chief for 27 years.

Alexander Petrovich Pochinok was a Russian economist and politician. He was the minister of taxes and levies from 1999 to 2000 and minister of labor and social development from 2000 to 2004.

Walter Stone Tevis was an American novelist and short story writer. Three of his six novels were adapted into major films: The Hustler, The Color of Money and The Man Who Fell to Earth. A fourth, The Queen’s Gambit, was adapted into a mini-series with the same title and shown on Netflix in 2020. His books have been translated into at least 18 languages.

Kimberly Dianne Shattuck was an American singer, musician, and songwriter. She was the lead vocalist, guitarist, and primary songwriter of the American punk rock band the Muffs, which formed in 1991. From 1985 to 1990, Shattuck was a member of The Pandoras. In 2001, she was a singer, guitarist and songwriter for The Beards, a side project composed of Shattuck, Lisa Marr, and Sherri Solinger. In 2013, she served briefly as the bass player for The Pixies.

Natalya Georgyevna Gundareva was a Soviet Russian film and theatre actress, one of the leading figures at the Mayakovsky Theatre where she worked since 1971. People's Artist of Russia (1986) and the USSR State Prize (1984) laureate, as well as a four times winner of the Soviet Screen magazine's Soviet Actress of the Year poll, Gundareva is best remembered for her leading parts in Sweet Woman (1976), Autumn Marathon (1979) and Once Upon a Time Twenty Years Later (1981).

Francisco "Paquito" Fernández Ochoa was a World Cup alpine ski racer from Spain. Born in Madrid and raised north of the city in Cercedilla, he was the eldest of eight children whose father ran a ski school. Paquito raced in all of the alpine disciplines and specialized in slalom.

Louis William "Bill" Conradt Jr. was an assistant district attorney from Texas. He was inextricably linked to Dateline NBC's To Catch a Predator, a TV series that conducted sting operations against suspected sexual predators who target children online. Local law enforcement conducted a sting operation that identified Conradt as a suspect attempting to solicit sex from a person he believed was a 13-year-old boy, and Dateline cameras recorded the events that followed. Conradt shot and killed himself upon encountering SWAT team members that were serving an arrest warrant at his home for his attempt to solicit a minor in sexual acts.

Grant Vernon Hart was an American musician, best known as the drummer and co-songwriter for the punk rock band Hüsker Dü. After the band's breakup in 1988, he released his first solo album Intolerance before forming the alternative rock trio Nova Mob, where he moved to vocals and guitar. His solo career became his main focus after the dissolution of Nova Mob in 1997.
