Bert Pronk was a Dutch road cyclist who won the Tour de Luxembourg and Ronde van Nederland in 1977. He rode Tour de France in 1976, 1977, 1979 and 1980 with the best achievement of 12th place in 1977. A few years before his death he was diagnosed with cancer, but seemed to fully recover and resume his sport activities. He died suddenly while on vacations in Portugal.

Björn Isfält was a Swedish composer. At the 25th Guldbagge Awards he won the Creative Achievement award. He composed music for more than 35 films and television shows between 1970 and 1995.

Nicholas Eden, 2nd Earl of Avon, OBE, styled Viscount Eden between 1961 and 1977, was a British Army officer and, later, a Conservative politician. He was the younger son of Prime Minister Sir Anthony Eden and his first wife, Beatrice.

Ludger Gerdes was a German painter, sculptor and multimedia artist.
