Galina Starovoytova
Galina Vasilyevna Starovoitova was a Soviet dissident, Russian politician and ethnographer known for her work to protect ethnic minorities and promote democratic reforms in Russia. She was shot to death in her apartment building.
Laurie Bembenek
Lawrencia Ann "Bambi" Bembenek, known as Laurie Bembenek, was an American former police officer convicted of murdering her husband's ex-wife. Her story garnered national attention after she escaped from Taycheedah Correctional Institution and was recaptured in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, an episode that inspired books, movies and the slogan "Run, Bambi, Run". Upon winning a new trial, she pleaded no contest to second-degree murder and was sentenced to time served and ten years' probation in December 1992. Four years after, she sought to have the sentence overturned.

Daisuke Satō was a Japanese board game designer, novelist, and manga writer. He was known for his alternate history novels Seito and Red Sun Black Cross, among others. He wrote the story for his manga Imperial Guards and Highschool of the Dead. Imperial Guards was nominated for the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2007 and for the first Manga Taishō in 2008. He died on March 22, 2017 from ischaemic heart disease.
